The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), is the largest non-governmental organization under the World Health Organization (WHO). It was founded in 1920, committed to creating a healthier world without tuberculosis and lung diseases for everyone. Members of the Union are individuals and organizations from all over the world, including governments, non-governmental organizations, charities, donors, sponsors, professional groups, patient groups, and civil society organizations. By bringing doctors, public health officials, managers, policy makers, scientists, lung disease patients, and healers together, the Union aims to not only share new knowledge, promote higher quality prevention and care, but also ultimately eliminate the suffering caused by lung diseases. The Union-Asia Pacific Region (Union APR) holds the Asia Pacific Region Conference of the Union (APRC) every 2-3 years.
The 9th Asia Pacific Region Conference of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease will be held in Taipei, Taiwan on April 26 to April 29, 2024. By inviting eminent, world-class speakers in this field, we expect that this meeting will expand the relationship between Asian countries and beyond, and strengthen international cooperation in academic fields. Moreover, APRC2024 will elevate the status of TB physicians and pulmonologists worldwide and provide concrete guidance to shape the future of the pulmonology industry. We expect over 1,500 scholars and experts from around the world to present new methods, technologies, and treatments.
